If you’d like to try being active with your family, please come to one of our Active Parents Active Kids events in Lausanne, starting in September 2020. You don’t need to register or pay – just show up. If it’s your first time, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start so one of our volunteers can welcome you and show you what to do. See our full list of events.
At each event you have the chance to try a different sport or activity. You don’t need to bring any special equipment, just wear light sports clothing and trainers. Bring a bottle of water for each member of your family (ideally labelled with a name) and some hand disinfectant.
All our events are virus-safe. Families are asked to maintain a two-metre distance from each other and equipment and surfaces are cleaned between each session.
We also run location-specific member-only events, such as horse riding, climbing, skiing and swimming. These are only open to Active Parents Active Kids members, who should register in advance for the sessions they wish to attend. In addition to accessing these special events, members gain discounts on a range of parent-child sports activities, which offer potential savings of more than CHF 500 a year.
Membership costs CHF 250 a year for a family with two parents / guardians, or CHF 200 for single parent families.
If you can’t afford to pay, don’t worry. Free memberships are available for families who are on reduced incomes, and families who have been referred to us by a health worker or doctor.
Free membership is also available to families who commit to volunteer at five sessions a year. It does not always have to be the same person from the family who volunteers, so long as he or she is 16 or over. Volunteers help to set up the venue, and meet-and-greet new families. Find out more in our section for sports coaches.
A 20% discount is available for group memberships for schools, communes and community associations ( to benefit from this discount, at least ten families from the group must sign up during the same month).
